Time to plant your spring herbs and vegtables If your a Texan and I have got a good start. I love this time of year when the weather is perfect and I will find any excuse to play outside. Not to mention the money it will save on my grocery bill! I've never done a garden before because I thought it was costly. Well with some pinteresting and ingenuity I was able to do it for pennies and heres how:
I first made some little cups for my seedlings using empty T.P. rolls. I simply cut then in half with 4 slits and folded the bottoms like you would a cardboard box. Them I wrote with them with a sharpie what seeds I was planting in them. Next i planted my seeds using a light potting soil mix made for seedlings. I put them all on the veggie platter tray I had leftover from the Princess Party. I cut a few holes in the lid and watered them really well. stuck a 100 watt light over them and waited.
The veggie tray worked great as a greenhouse and I had cucumber and tomato sprouts within a week! I have been transplanting them into pots for now and putting them in my ideal garden area in my yard. I'm also working on making upcycled hanging planters so stay tuned for more Adventures in Gardening!!
