This is great to hide vegetables in (your kids won't even know they are there!)
Ingredients
1 box of your favorite macaroni
1 can of tuna
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of peas (or use frozen peas)
3 carrots
3 stalks of broccoli
1/2 Cup to a Cup of 2% milk shredded cheese
(you can use as much or as little vegetables as you like, you can also add or subtract your favorites)
1. Cook macaroni. 2. Add cream of mushroom soup. 3. Add tuna. 4. Add cream of mushroom soup. 5. stir to mix ingredients well. 5. puree vegetables together ( I use my blender b/c which works just as well as a food processor) 6. Add pureed vegetables to mix. 7. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed. 8. Pour mix into and 8 X 8 baking dish. 9. sprinkle cheese all over top. 10. Heat in oven on 375 degrees until cheese is melted.
I put potato chips on top of my tuna casserole. I like the salty crunchy with the soft stuff, but you don't have to, the casserole is good all by itself! And this recipe is so versatile, you can change the recipe however you like.
